What is Suno v6-mini?
The free, faster row in the v6 family. Official @suno: super fast and efficient, on every Suno account including Free. That is the row to start on if you can generate today.
Suno v6 is live. v6-mini is on every account — including Free.
As of 10 September 2026: Suno shipped v6, v6-wild, and v6-mini on 9 September. Official @suno: “v6-mini is super fast and efficient. It comes with every Suno account (including our Free tier!).” A song is still an audio file. Paste the link you can make today and walk out with a lyric-synced video.

Features
What Suno actually shipped on 9 September 2026
A public model family, not a teaser. Three named rows. One of them is free.
The changelog is the 9 September blog
CEO Mikey Shulman’s Introducing v6 post names three models developed with Warner Music Group, BMG and Believe. The 4 September X clip was the teaser. Do not collapse the two dates.
v6-mini is the conversion row
Official @suno, in the launch thread: “v6-mini is super fast and efficient. It comes with every Suno account (including our Free tier!).” The thread ends “So go make something.” That song is already enough to video.
Paid rows are for steering, not for waiting
v6 (precise) and v6-wild (exploration) are Pro and Premier. If you can hit Generate on Free, you already have a row. Do not sit on an empty library until you upgrade.
What the launch did not ship
A better generator still returns audio. These gaps are load-bearing.
No quality score, no vertical master
There is no official MOS, stem list, or “v6 is 2× v5.5.” Replies under the launch thread are mixed — some like it, some hear hiss, some miss v5.5. None of that is a reason to skip the video.
A new model does not export a 9:16 cut
Shorts, Reels and TikTok still want a picture, captions locked to the beat, and a vertical crop. That job starts after you have a song link.
SunoMV does not grow a v6 picker
The product reads a public Suno song URL — audio plus lyrics. Generate on v6-mini, v6, or v6-wild. Paste the link. There is no “supports v6” row to wait on.
Make the song. Then make the video.
Free path: generate on v6-mini, copy the Suno link, paste it into SunoMV, preview the lyric-synced cut.
Generate on the row you already have
Free accounts start on v6-mini. Paying accounts can steer on v6 / v6-wild. A teaser is not a reason to freeze the catalog — and the teaser is over.
Paste the Suno link, not an mp3
SunoMV reads audio and lyrics from the song link. There is nothing to export, convert, or re-upload for the free preview path.
Lyrics timed, scenes generated, preview free
Each line is timed to the beat and each section gets a generated scene, so the video still reads on mute. Watch the whole cut before you pay to download.
From a free v6-mini song to a music video
Three honest steps. No v6 picker inside SunoMV. No waiting on a quality consensus in the replies.
- 1
Generate on v6-mini (or the paid row you have)
Free accounts start on v6-mini — super fast, every account. Paying accounts can steer on v6 / v6-wild. Finish a keeper.
- 2
Copy the Suno song link
Open the song page and copy the public share link. That link is what SunoMV can actually open.
- 3
Paste the link, preview free
SunoMV times each lyric line and generates a scene per section. Preview the whole video free, then export vertical or widescreen.
Who this launch is actually for
A named family is a headline. These are the cases where 9 September changes what you do this week.
Free-plan makers who can generate today
v6-mini is on your account. Official Suno said go make something. Then paste the link — the feed still wants a picture.
Accounts posting to Shorts / Reels / TikTok
A new model does not post itself. The song you generate this week still needs a 9:16 cut with words locked to the vocal.
People who only have a hook so far
Write the verses, generate on v6-mini, paste the Suno link. The lyric generator gets you a verse–chorus–bridge first.
Read the posts, then finish the job

Suno v6, answered
What did 9 September confirm?
A public family of three models, industry partners including Warner, BMG and Believe, and a retirement of previous models as v6 rolls out. It did not ship a vertical master.
Does a new Suno model replace the need for a music video?
No. A generator answers whether the track sounds finished. A music video answers whether anyone stops. SunoMV covers the second test from a Suno song link — preview free.
