Pika Music Is Live on SunoMV: Four Inputs, One Model

Pika Labs shipped Pika Music in August 2026. Their own write-up is blunt: text, lyrics, a voice reference and a music reference — used alone or mixed — meet inside one shared latent-diffusion decoder and come out as a complete track. Not a chain of separate workflows.

1. How this model is different from MiniMax and Suno

Per Pika’s technical post, the point is not “yet another text-to-music model”. It is that the starting material can be mixed:

1. Text — style, BPM, instruments, mood.
2. Lyrics — [Verse] / [Chorus] structure tags included.
3. Voice reference — a short vocal take for timbre and delivery.
4. Music reference — a track whose feel you cannot name.

Any of those can be used alone or together. Official ceiling: six minutes. The API exposes a duration parameter — MiniMax’s official API does not; MiniMax length follows the lyrics.

Pika also published a fixed-lyrics Audiobox Aesthetics run across 15 creative directions:

That is a rounding-error gap on enjoyment, not a different league. Sound is still subjective — run the same lyrics through Pika and MiniMax / Suno in SunoMV and listen back to back.

Treat the speed number as their local test, not ours: a 90-second song in 6.21–6.25 seconds on average (~14.5× faster than playback). That is not SunoMV queue time. We have not substituted our own generation-time measurement.

Price: Pika API Club lists Music at $0.015 per minute, charged only on success. Inside SunoMV it bills at the same 1-credit baseline as MiniMax, not a premium commercial-license row.

2. How to use it inside SunoMV

• You are comparing cheap full-length songs — same 1-credit row as MiniMax, six-minute ceiling.

If you mainly want cleaner Mandarin vocals and named guitar techniques, MiniMax Music 3.0 is still the more specific pick. If you already have a Suno link, skip generation and go to Suno to Video.
